The Freecycle Network is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It’s a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them’s good people). Membership is free.

Hi Franke,
I had only seen this in a rural setting. I think it’s a great idea and would love to do this with my driveway in Richmond Hill. The only twist is I am looking for something that is more perennial (Wooly Thyme) like. What used to be my front lawn is now flower bed and cherry tree. I wanted something that would reflect that in a driveway. I would appreciate any info you can pass along.
Have a great weekend
Ruth
Hi Franke,
PermaTurf it’s a great solution for driveways and I would like to know if PermaTurf is distributed in Canada? Do you know if PermaTurf is already been installed in more sites in Toronto? I would like to see and ‘place my feet’ on this innovative solution in order to decide if I will be the best solution for my driveway.
Thanks
Carlos
Carlos,
The best idea is to call PermaTurf directly. To my knowledge they do not have a distributor in Canada — yet.

Hi,
I see that the drive can be shoveled, but can it be plowed?
